Handsfree randomly activates and calls out

Has anyone had any issues with the handsfree system in our cars. I at first thought it was a problem with my AT&T Blackjack, but yestarday it did the same thing with no phone even near the car.

Bascially it occurs randomly, but my handsfree will activate after starting the car and act like it is dialing a phone number... display shows no phone number being called, but the counter call counter starts ticking away and no buttom combination, or even voice cancelation will stop it. When I have a phone in the car I must cut it off and back on to disconnect the bluetooth. Weird thing is yestarday it happen twice. Car said it had a bluetooth connection, but I didn't have a phone with me nor any device on me that was bluetooth enabled. I had to cut the car off and back on to clear things out. I know it wasn't a fluke bluetooth sugnal, b/c I was a good 65 ft away from anyother car, or building when it happen the second time.

Is this any sort of known issue, or a gremlin with my car? I haven't called the dealer since they will need to replciate the problem to fix it and so far it has been random.

Problem with Blackjack

I had the same problem with my Blackjack. I deleted the phone from the Bluetooth list, updated the phone to Windows Mobile 6 and resynced it. Haven't had the problem since.

I thought it was my phone, and had reconciled myself to that being the case, but it did the same thing yestarday with no phone near the car. Thus my renewed interest

I've come across this on several occasions (using an AT&T Tilt). The car *thinks* its in a call, but (thankfuly) its not.

My quickest remedy is to take my phone, dial a real #, and then end the call.

Nuisance yes, but I consider myself fortunate that my phone even works w/ the car at all.. (it appears those who have Nav have more serious issues pairing with the tilt).

I am not having this same issue, and pushing "End Call" does not end the call. It work perfect sometimes, but other times, it thinks its in a call and really isnt.

This is almost like my issue where I get a "phantom call" and can't cancel the call with any buttons. I have to turn off my phone and turn it back on. If I don't do this the Nav display keeps ringing endlessly.

Right now my phone won't even sync up. I'm going to run over my phone and be done with this!

I have a pantech duo with AT&T and have no problems with it. I just changed to this phone and I brought it to the dealer so they can pair the phone with the handsfree. I tried doing it myself and I couldn't. Maybe bring it to them and have them do it for you. Maybe this will work and the problem you are having will be ok

I had a Sprint HTM Mogul before, it synced perfectly and had no issues. Now with the Motorola Q 9c, its messed up...

There has to be an easy fix to this, its 2008 for God's sake!!!
