Cant find a Remote Tap for adding an amp!

Need help...

I have tried the Grey wire as the Amp diagram posted and I have tried the White wire and its not working...

All that works is the yellow battery wire... I need something that will turn the amp on and off....

I took the signal just before the woofer amp (less cluttered than the full amp) and used the wire that is in the #3 slot. I don't remember if it was green or gray, but just try and use the diagram and look at the connector. It does work, just double check the wire position.

I did that.... It was grey... the number 3 was grey... It was in the white harness going into the small top amp... NO WORK... I dont have a clue why?

I also tried the RCA cable way... soldering onto 8 and 9 on the white connector into the small amp and It worked till I turned up the volume a little and then it was like the small bose amp cut out into protection mode....

I am soo confused...

Does everything work again after you disconnect it? And the RCA's that you soldered onto the wires are not grounding out?
I can't think of any other reason that it is not working. As long as no wires are touching each other (as I am sure you don't have any), and the inputs and outputs are correct and unless there is an issue with the new amp. I can't see why it wouldn't work. When I installed mine I didn't have any issues so I can't tell what problems there are.

Maybe dillyyo can take a crack at this.

Has anybody else installed an amp yet and could shed some light?

Everything worked when i used a hi lo convertr off the rear deck speakers... and when I put the remote wire against my power wire it sounded GREAT!...

I just cant figure a way to find a remote turn on that works...
I used the Grey number 3 like eveyone said they used and the amp would not turn on at all....

Do you have a multi-meter or a 12 volt light meter? If you do double check that there is a voltage running thru the trigger wires when you turn it on. If you don't have a meter you can use a 12v light bulb. If you do have a power going thru the wire to the Bose sub amp than maybe the wire you are using for the trigger is broken.

When you turn off the car, there is not power coming from that wire right? #3 wire.

Thats correct. This is actually because the stereo is turned off. That is what controls that wire.

I am baffled as to that configuration MAX. Just see if you can probe around and find a wire that is controlled by the stereo. Like some other trigger wire.

I tapped into the grey wire about 2 inches before the white harness that went into the smaller top bose amp

It should work wherever you put it. Are you using one of the Scotch locks? The clamping type of connector?
