Then, no. ...Not without hacking on a RCA jack (or some sort of video input to the screen) at least.

There is no way any car manufacturer would even have a video wire inside the iPod connector.

Has anyone tried another TV-out capable source device other than Apple's ipod or iphone?

I have the HTC TouchPro2 and it has TV out function via RCA cable purchased separately. While the cable itself is not expensive (around 20 dollars), I'd rather see if others have had success with output to the screen first before I buy the cable.

Thanks

I used to have an HTC touch pro. I made the video-out cable myself by pulling apart the head-phone adapter and soldering some wires. It connected to my car's RCA input fine. Why wouldn't it? I am running Windows7 on a PC connected to it (as well as a secondary vga touchscreen), not an iAnything.

Video-In is Video-In. Anything with RCA video out will work fine. A cable/sat box, a Wii/XBox/PS#, an old beta-max VCR, and your phone will all work fine with anything that has a little yellow input plug, including my car.

:bump:

Just a follow up from qwerty0092. I just got a 2011 G37x sedan (Premium+Nav) and while I see what would be the cutouts for the RCA A/V AUX inputs in the center arm rest...the inputs themselves are not there. Is this not an option for 2011 and/or if you got the Nav system? The cutouts are indeed there though and the owner's manual mentions them, "if so equiped" (pg 4-80). The Nav system does play video from a USB drive (there's a USB interface in the center arm rest) and the system itself plays DVDs but I want to play the video stored on my iPhone4 as well as look into hooking up a car PC.

Any ideas? Given my Premium and Nav package did not include this, is this something that I can install and tap into the head unit myself as an AUX? What do you think?
