Why was that thread locked? We talk about mods for just about everything else; air filters, exhausts, rims, windows, lights, spoilers, laser jammers, radar detectors, etc.. why not the A/V system?

I don't see where in the membership 'rules' that this type of thing is not allowed to be talked about? If you can point me to such a thing.. perhaps I missed it?

 

lol..but we can sell, trade and use off road use only parts...go figure..

 

Big Legal Lawsuits can be made for these things, No one is gonna sue over rims and exhausts, it has been done, and many forums operate like this

Anyways just posting before the LOCK

 

Then stipulate what exactly can and can't be talked about in each forum in a 'sticky' in the Annoucements forum. Be very precise about what modifications are allowed to be discussed and which ones are not.

Don't close topics on a whim because 'there might be an issue'. If that was the case you may want to remove the smileys that display '*****' because someone might find it offensive and sue. (Please don't.. I like ***** :-))

Well, I will make that a Sticky I guess. The point is, that particular subject will not be allowed. End of story.

Why was the thread locked? You'll find your answer in the recent sticky posted by vstrizheus. We don't allow threads regarding this topic on the forum for the same reason we don't allow street racing threads.......because it's unsafe driving practices and we simply don't condone it. And yes, we talk about mods in this section, however mods like intakes, wheels, spoilers, etc are not unsafe to others on the roads.......watching movies while driving is.

In any case, this rule will NOT change. I hope that explains it, however if you want to take this offline, feel free to PM me.
