still pending 6 days later after being told it was being shipped thursday or friday. no tracking # or anything.....

 

I got a PM from 4080 and my card was billed. Supposed to ship today.

 

^^ when did you order? did you get a tracking number or email? or does it just say pending on the site?

 

I ordered last Monday. The site has some issues: no autogenerated email confirmation order status doesn't update, etc. Other members have received their enclosure with no contact with 4080 at all. They haven't been in business that long and I believe contact with the forums community has grown the business beyond their current model. The number listed on the site is the cell phone of the owner/operator. He called me back promptly and assured me all is well. Although I would prefer a tracking number, it's a small business and sometimes you have to take the good with the not so good. I'm sure with some constructive feedback the buying process will match the quality of the product.

/threadjack: What JL audio components are you going to run? I am going with a 10W6v2 and 250/1 with a bass control ****.

I just got the 10'' jl w3v3 sub with rockford fosgate prime 500/1 amp. Nothing crazy just wanted some clean hitting bass, not mirror shaking/trunk rattling

 

I have met the folks at 4080 personally. You are right, great folks to work with and they will get your merchandise out to you. It's top quality. They work out of a relatively small facility and probably (hopefully) are just really busy trying to get product out to customers and may have a few growing pains. I know what that's like so I can certaily sympathize. It's pretty cool he did get back to you though. He used my car to prototype/mold the enclosure for the G37. It smelled like resin for weeks! But hopefully you are impressed adn satisfied with the final product as I am.

Last I heard, don't expect the passenger side enclosure any time soon as they are very busy and just dont have the time right now.

 

I apologize in advance, but only thing I could find in this thread was for the G37 coupe.

So...do they have the enclosure for the G37 sedan?

I just got my enclosure, and I must say, it fits perfectly and I'm very happy with the way it looks =)....

Ordered my 4080 enclosure for my '09 Coupe just a few minutes ago. PayPal payment sent. Can't wait. Had it for my '03 Coupe w/ a JL Audio 10W6v2. Probably gonna get the same sub unless there is a new version. Haven't decided on what amps yet, maybe the JL Audio HD amplifiers... Man, I got it bad, LOL.

 

^^ yea the 4080 is perfect. takes up no trunk space and looks good too. I got the JL 10w3v3 sub on ebay (new) for ~170 shipped and it is more than enough and sounds clean. I got it on ebay through http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Autosoun...__W0QQ_armrsZ1

the 10w6v2 is going for 240 on that site, which is a good deal IMO, considering the average I found is ~265+, except crutchfield which is 430 lol.

 

I wish Ainsley at 4080 would do the passenger side too (Hint hint). Then, it would be PERFECT, LOL. Wow! Crotchfield is charging $430?
