Apparently it does according to this thread:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...-2007-g35.html

Edit: I'm not sure if the 07 G35 and the earlier G35's are the same though...this guy specifically asked about a 07 G35 having the same trunk as a 09 G37. I don't know if there were any changes to the sedans during the G35 generations...

Yeah, I did see that thread. Just would like to be sure before I order it. I sent an email through the 4080 site, but never got a response. I got tired of waiting so I bought a JL 10W6v2 wedge box. But, if I can get the 4080 box to fit, that would definitely same me some space.

For someone who would like to fit a set of golfclubs in the trunk with this setup I am sure will not fit?

Uhh, yes? They have an instructional picture on the inside trunk lid on how to install the clubs properly. It appears I am not the only golfer who drives a G.

I have an enclosure in my trunk... not 4080 but similar in size and location.

I just fold my rear seat down in order to fit the golf clubs in there. They won't fit otherwise. I can fit 2 sets easily with the seat down.

The only issue is security. I wouldn't want to leave my clubs in the car with the seat down overnight somewhere. Too easy to see that there is something worth stealing.

Also, I have a 10W7. Probably one of the bigger 10" subs out there. Just confirming this will fit with no issues?

Finally got my enclosure installed after about a month of receiving the box. I had to order the sub and that took awhile and set up an appointment with a friend of mine but after all said and done...I LOVE THIS BOX! The sub is booming! After I installed the sub at my friends store, they were testing it out in the back and a customer inside the store asked me if I had 2 12's in my car. I laughed and said no, I have only 1 10" with a 500/1 amp. And even the store owner said, "Yeah, that box is what's making it hit, a sealed custom box is always good." The sub hits so hard, I had to adjust the settings after I left my friends place but after a few setting changes, I love my system! Looking into getting some components later on but these will do for now. Enjoy the pics!

Hey CDSO,

Do you mind sharing your settings on your JL amp? I've been tweaking with mines and I just want it to sound just right. Curious about your settings on your 500/1. I've read on some sites where people say turn everything off and others saying it all depends on the person but I just don't know! I want it to hit but not LOUD. I want deep bass and I want to hear all of the bass hits no matter how low it gets. So far my settings are as follow:

Q: 1.1
Center Freq: 45
Boost (dB): +1

Right now I have the following settings on the amp.

Q: About 0.9
Center Freq: 45
Boost: +1

I'm thinking about reducing the Q value to get a little more flexibility with frequencies outside of center. Unfortunately it's hard to get the JL to match up well with the bose without overpowering it.

Check out JL's website. They have an interactive page that can help with settings on your amp.

You have a different amp than I do. From the pic I think you have the 500/1v2. I have the J2 500.1. Not sure what the differnce is, but install definitely looks good.

How did you tack the amp to the back of your rear seats? Did you have to mount some type of board behind the amp?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I went on the JL Audio's website and played around with that Flash tutorial. I kinda of get what its saying but I still don't understand some parts. Like if I want to hear more bass for the low end part, I should turn down the Q and turn up the Center Freq. right? I think I'm going to try turning the Center Freq. to 80 and turning down the Q to about 0.9 just to see how it sounds. Getting a little ancy since I am at work and can't do it right now. lol

As far as the mounting of my amp, I really don't know. lol I just had my friend install it for me at his shop and I told him I wanted my amp hidden but he said there wasn't anyway since the seats in our G37 have things under them, so I just told him to mount it in the back of the seat. He might have just screwed it in on the back seat.

No problem. The way I understand it is that lowering the Q value will increase the bandwidth outside of center. So, your sub will hit those frequencies further outside of center with additional boost. If you want more low end bass (20-50 hz), then you may just want to turn up the boost with the settings you have now or by lowering your center frequency or any combination of the two. That will give you higher db at those frequencies.

Moving the center frequency up to 80 hz will actually reduce low end bass since the center (which will be the loudest) will be at 80 hz and lower frequencies will gradually fall off.

Also, lowering the Q value will give you more db outside of center, but will not increase the db at center.
