Is there any sub that will perform "perfectly" in this enclosure? 4080, was the enclosure designed to fit in the space optimally as the primary goal, or did you target an optimal internal volume for a particular 10" sub?

Put another way, which is the best sub that will fit in this enclosure without causing the sub to perform less than optimally (if any exist).

Sorry for the tough questions, I fear the answer might not be what I want to hear ;D
Image Dynamics ID10v.3 is a good sub. That's what I'm using. You can always reduce the internal volume of the enclosure if you want by gluing some pieces of wood inside it to make it the exact internal volume you'll need, you just can't increase the volume. I don't know any 10's that require more than .85 sealed off hand.

So for 10s it's looking pretty well matched, it's 12s that would generally require more space?

Thanks

A hamster on a wheel in the trunk...ya the battery, just like anyother amp install you will need to get a power kit to run the power from the battery and ground to the car. Just being funny with the hamster thing....but that might be kinda cool if you opened the trunk and you had a couple hamsters racing around thier wheels to the beat of "baby got back" or something! LOL

Well I thought there might be a different power source since we're running with 11 speakers as in maybe from the subs from the doors or something I guess im way off, keep in mind im coming from a 2000 civic so im learning alot with electronics and suspension with this car.

with any car you will never be able to just tap into power for aftermarket amps and subs.... you will always have to run a power wire from the battery...
