Voice Recognition a little disappointing

Picked up my G on Saturday. When I went to activate the temperature and tune voice functions, (i.e. temperature 68 or tune 96.3) they didn't work. The dealer advised that Infiniti took those functions out on the 07 G35 Sedans and late production G37s. I wish I had those functions but I guess its not the end of the world. Anyone have this problem?

Are you serious? That sucks! Mine works fine so I guess I have an early production G37. Why would they do that?

I picked up my G on 10/27 and knowing about this problem ahead of time I figured for sure I'd get a car with the reduced list, but luckily I have full functionality for all voice commands.

I have the same problem with my G. The General Sales Manager and the Service Manager at my dealership are talking to Infiniti right now. I had received a call from the GSM today and he said that Infiniti is talking to the original designer of the program to see if there is anything that they could do.
I had suggested just swapping the hard drive where the voice rec. is stored and they said that would involve replacing the hard drive, the AV control unit the radio and for some reason the ECU. In other words "Not Going To Happen."
But enough people have complained and so I think that they are going to fix this issue. But to help it along I think that everybody that has the shortened list should tell their dealer so that Infiniti realizes that we paid extra for those options. And we can get the car back to the incredible powerhouse that it should be.

I will check the production date on mine. But I know that there was a brief period of time when it simply depended on what assembly line the car went . So you may have a car with a later production date but with the full list of options.

If you just bought it the chances that you have control over the climate control and the radio stations are slim to none. There is no way to activate it Infiniti just took it out.

Anyone know how to disable the car from telling you what to choose from?? I could already have put in 10 addresses by the time it tells me what to say and what my options are!

My wife has voice and nav in her Prius, we like it, but that system is SOOOO slow, my G 's is so quick, and address entry takes HALF the time, so quick, and it seems to recognize everything I say on the first go. Now she's jealous. I think I have the old system as well, i can change temps, and tune as well. Our dealer advised us to go with that instead of the newer one, he even pulled up both for us to play with, and we liked the older voice recognition.
