Does anyone know where and which wire has the contact point in the 6mt for when you put the car in rev the camera turns on. I am trying to install a three way switch so i can have the camera on all the time, on only when in reverse or off all the time. but i need to know which wire controlls the unit....

I got nothin'...sorry.

 

Looks like it uses a reverse signal sent out on the CAN (communications bus in the car) instead of something like a simple voltage on a wire.

not sure if any of this will help, but...

 

DVD Hack also, but I'm sure that comprised in the Nav Hack... you're definitely on the ball with that list. These mods would just make the car THAT much better.

 

^^yup, NAV hack to me includes alot. Hehe... it's all about making the computer think the car is in park... that would free up alot.

Wonder if the CD slot can read DVDs... cuz i kno that the NAV is updated through the CF slot, and not DVD based. So hmmmm.

But as far as the AUX inputs... wd be nice to show vid while driving there.
