Does the bluetooth in the car change screen display at all with different phones. Like windows mobile, vs. regular standard bluetooth phone? Meaning like maybe show signal strengh or battery life, etc. Thanks

I think it shows signal strength with my treo 755 I'll check if it shows anything else.
its pretty cool by the way if I have my music up too loud to hear the phone it will just cut the music and pop up on the screen

It doesn't show stuff like signal strength or your phone's wallpaper. It will show the number, call timer and name if you have it listed in the phonebook. Here is a picture. Hope it helps.

I have a windows mobile phone, and I downloaded some software at http://www.jetwaremobile.com/. This allowed me to do a bulk download of my contacts, as well as show signal strength info on the nav screen. Also, when going into the phone book I also get a battery meter. The prog is $15, with a 30day free trial. I plan on buying it.

If you are referring to the antenna symbol in the top right corner, I don't think that is for cell phone signal strength. I think it's for the XM/SAT NAV because it's always there regardless of whether my phone is on or not.

I get signal strength on mine now with the software add, whereas I did not before. This includes the times when the display is in other modes (nav, music box, etc).

It is the cell phone signal strength, but its kinda wierd cuz my nokia supports signal strength display according to the website but I only get the icon, not the bars next to the icon. However if I lose signal completely the Icon is replaced by a handset icon with a slash through it. When I hooked up a Sony T610 however the signal icon had the bars denoting signal strength next to it. I also hate that I cant download the phonebook from my Nokia. I know I can add 40 manually, but I have 200 contacts and even though I may not call all of them all the time, I think atleast I could have the Called ID working if they were downloaded into the phonebook.
