Songs On the SOW

So folks, now that some of you have taken delivery of your new G and have listened to the SOW, what type of music have you most enjoyed listening on it? I myself listen to all types of music, from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, to R&B, to Flamenco Guitar. Where I find that the SOW shines is with acoustical music. Whenever I listen to Flamenco Guitar (such as the song below), I find the SOW sounds just like I was in a concert theatre.

Infiniti and Bose did a great job on this system IMO, and it really creates the feeling of being live listening to music. Also, when you crank up the SOW, it's amazing how crisp the sound is at high volumes.

So what music are you guys testing the SOW with? Below is the type of music that I listen to often and I find sounds amazing on the SOW.

That song you posted up Canuck sounds really good , and I dont listen to much of that type of music since im 19, but Id imagine it would sound so sick inside of a G37 because I listened to one of my own tracks on the G37's SOW and it was downright nasty..

i've been listening to different shades from Zeppelin, Floyd, and ACDC to Disturbed, Godsmack, and Mudvayne. even a little techno and NIN in the mix. i have to say, though, that all of my Tool CDs/mp3s sound the best... maybe it's just because i love them!

garnet, i agree the system sounds great across many musical genres.

2008 models now come with something called "driver staging". When turned on the system reconfigures itself to stage the music around the driver instead of all four passengers. I can mentally see/hear/feel the stage shift over stopping in front providing a feeling of being three rows back center at a concert. I'm not an audiophile so maybe it's a gimmick but it sure sounds good and makes sense as most of the time we're the only one in our cars!

Anyone else play with this?**let me know what you think.

Yeah, I remember reading about that feature John. That sounds like a fantastic feature and I am looking forward to hearing it and see what a difference it makes compared to my G.

Yeah, I like that music for a change for sure. I'm sure the SOW makes it sound a lot better than these $40 speakers beside my desktop.

I tried the driver staging. I agree, the sound does improve. However, remember to switch it off when you have a passenger. I sat in the front passenger seat with driver staging on and it sounds horrible (as a passenger).

I found this setting a few days ago. I like it. I think of it as the "screw everyone else in the car" setting.
