G37x sedan exhaust options
Hey guys i know this may be a nub question but i was wondering which exhaust would give me a nice deep growl without sounding too loud. Id much rather have a very deep vq growl then some loud rice rocket type exhaust. I have looked at the tannabe, stillen, FI, Topspeed, ARK but without hearing these exhausts in person i cant make a definite decision. I was just wondering which exhaust you guys liked and which exhaust you guys think would be fulfill my needs. thanks in advance

i have FI RHFC and Invidia Q300 exhaust with Stillen Gen 3 intake on my X sedan and it sounds tuned, very nice deep rich sound. I do wish the Invidia was a little louder though then it would be perfect. Build quality is excellent and Invidia's full SS cutback is $900 shipped on eBay. Many have it on this site. Easy mod for an exhaust shop to get it to fit the X sedan as its designed for the S sedan.

Not sure why people say there is no difference in sound from Tanabe axleback vs. stock. Inside the cabin there is little to no difference, but outside it is definitely apparent when you get on it. My Tanabes have around 5k on them, so maybe that's why their noticeably louder. If you are looking for loud exhaust, then Tanabe is not the way to go though. They look great and sound solid on what is basically a family car. According to Tanabe's website, they add 3hp and 7 torque, but that is negligible.
If you want full racecar sound for cheap, go for the muffler delete. You can test the sound for free by just removing the mufflers. It takes literally less than 30 minutes to remove them - 4 bolts per muffler. It sounds awesome, but in my opinion, too loud. Hell, if I had known how easy it was, I would have just done it for fun for a weekend.

I went with the Tanabe axle back last year..and yes...I like it a lot...its a nice buy and its Awesome quality and looks clean ...it does have a deeper tone at idle and at WOT it roars a little..but that's it...it's kinda quiet...but if ur looking for a nice looking quiet/ a little deeper tone exhaust and still be wifey & kid friendly then this is it!
I'm now looking into a full ARK catback...I need something with a little more roar...coming from 2 previous SRT's...the axleback is a little too subtle for me...LoL

That is a nice looking exhaust. I have the cat back on a 350z. I just don't like the size of the tips for the sedan. They are too large in my opinion. I've thought of this exhaust, but it would be a shame to cut the tips and replace with a smaller diameter.
