Akebono Brake Clearance

After an incredibly long attempt to upgrade wheels on my AWD 2014 Q60S I think I’ve finally come to a decision. I originally ordered 19x9.5+22 Tandems which cleared my Akebono brakes with ease, but poked too much for me so i returned them. I’ve finally decided, with the big brakes in mind, I’d like 19x9.5+38 Gram Light 57DRs or Work Emotion D9Rs. However, these are both made to order and can not be cancelled or refunded, so I’m just looking for a confirmation that a 19x9.5+38 will clear the Akebono brakes. Thanks. I’m on swift springs if it matters. with front adjustable upper control arms and currently on the 19x8.5 oem 15 spokes (i think they have a +43 offset?) with a 225/45/19 tire

I've never owned a set of Gram Lights, so I cannot comment on caliper fit. But another factor is what size tire you intend to run on those wheels. Some, like a 275-35-18 can be wide enough to catch on a corner of the front fender well. That results in the car stopping right NOW!

The Gramlight 57DR in 19x9.5 +35 clears the Akebono. example can be seen on this Q50

I'm trying to do some digging to confirm with the Work D9R.

19' Wheels that clear the BBK

I have a 2014 Q60S AWD coupe. It’s on swift springs with Z1 front adjustable upper control arms. I’ve been looking for wheels for months, I finally landed on 19x9.5+35 because I want to be as flush as possible. Now my problem is clearing the Akebono brakes. I’ve had wheels in mind (Work Emotion D9R, Work Emotion ZR10.. which both only come in +38, Gram Light 57DR, etc.) but never know if they’ll clear the brakes for sure. I obviously know what to look for in terms of spoke design and what will work but I want to be certain before ordering and having to return wheels because they’re the wrong spec one again. So, can anyone recommend me some wheels that would clear the brakes on a sport model in a 19x9.5+35 spec? Any helps is appreciated, Thanks (apologies for posting about this topic again, but my tires are showing wire and i refuse to buy a set of tires for my stock wheels and another for the new ones so I’m trying to order wheels asap) 😁

You may need some 5mm spacers to clear the calipers. I had to for my 19x10.5 +5/10 work meisters with the T/R disks (big faces for big brakes).

The ZR10 in 19x9.5 +38 looks to clear the Akebono, from a reference photo I've seen on a 370z.
