Talking Staggered Fitment

I would like to run 19x10.5 in the rear and 19x9.5 in the front on my 2012 G37xs. The local dealer told me that as long as the wheels are the same overall diameter that it will be okay to run. Is this true? By overall diameter they mean the rims and tires would both be 19 inch with the same sidewall thickness.

Overall tire diameter needs to be the same front and rear, AND your new tire diameter can't be more than 3% different from the stock diameter.

Also, are you running a coupe or sedan, that will determine offsets
