Are the Continental DWS06 tires directional??

Just got Continental DWS06 tires new and mounted on my G37x but found it strange that I only see DOT on the tire sidewalls on 3 out of 4 tires, but not all 4 tires..... I'm wondering if the tech made an error and put one of the tires in the wrong direction by accident. Anyone know if this will be an issue???

They are not directional, but there should be an "outside" mark on the sidewall. Mine is right with the tire size marking.

As Stelthee mentioned, they are not directional, but they are asymmetrical so its possible that it was put on backwards on the rim. Look for the "Outside" marking and check to see if the tread pattern looks like the others from inside to outside and ask the shop to correct it if it was done backwards.

Good luck

I didn't have time to check this morning but will do so at lunch..... is it pretty much shop error by assumption? Manufacturer wouldn't create 3 tires showing DOT on outside for 3 and not for the 4th lol.....

Yeah as suspected they screwed up. How can they screw up something so easy is beyond my belief...

in addition, does anyone else think these tires are old or defective?? I see white marks everywhere (sort of like chalk marks) all over the tires. Not sure if that's natural or the way they were shipped to the store. DOT 0718 means tires should only be 6-7 months old.

The white marks may be from the lube used to mount the tires. Some shops use a liquid type lube, some shops use a paste type lube made to be TPMS safe

The DWS has been discontinued, but the DWS06 is the newest version, came out in late 2015. At least you discovered the mistake before you put much time on them
