OEM Black chrome wheels (bright wheel pkg)

So I bought 4 of these for my 2013 graphite shadow sport coupe.

They come with dire warnings about having only the dealer install them and making sure the car they are on stays in a climate controlled garage and the owner needing to visit the car only once a week to rub them down with a clean cloth diaper.

Seriously, they do say dealer install and only wash with damp sponge and dry completely with soft clean cloth. Anyone have experience with these wheels? Is putting them on my daily driver a big mistake?

i think they tell you that for all wheels. esp aftermarket ones. just wash them regularly and you will be fine.

Can even put a coat of wax on them for some extra protection, there's also ceramic coating that is used to further protect them if you're using them in rough weather year round.

I applied Mckee's 37 paint coating to them so hopefully that will help. The instructions say the wheels use a different coating process than normal alloy wheels but it also says they are clearcoated.

If I like the way they look I'll probably buy another one just so I'll have an extra in case I damage one of them.

Look like a nice finish, and black chrome is a nice shade vs. regular chrome, I'd get that extra one if they aren't too much $$$.

Not the best pic here (thunderstorm about to roll in) but they are on and look great. From most angles they look like a graphite color chrome...I am very pleased--especially for the price I paid.

Hey Rollo

I am looking to pick up these wheels for my sedan, but I am concerned with the maintenance/cleaning of the wheels.
How have they held up since you bought them? any stains that wont come off or are they easily scratched?

Thanks!

Just don't use wheel cleaner when wheel and brakes are hot from driving.
