Putting 19" Staggered Sport Wheels on AWD G37 Sedan
I am new to posting but not new to the site. I own a 2013 G37xS. Sorry if this has been posted before, while I was researching this topic I could not find the answer I was looking for on here. I saw a few "Maybe" or "it should work" but nothing definite.
I recently purchased a set of 08 G37 Sport Wheels and tires. The REAR tires were 245/40ZR19 and FRONT were 235/35ZR19. I installed them on the car, NO SPACERS NEEDED...Just an easy bolt on job. They looked great compared to my 18" Factory "crow foot" wheels.
I went for a drive and my AWD light started flashing on the freeway and to be honest the car felt a little squirrelly. After some research I pulled the awd fuse and drove the car throughout the weekend. FINALLY after the weekend I went to my nearest discount tire for 2 new front tires. (The front and rear tires must be the same size for these setups to work on these AWD cars. 2 new tires later, the problem is solved.
The staggered wheels WILL work on AWD G37 Sedans BUT you must have the same size tires all the way around. I now have all (4) 245/40ZR19 and my G37XS drives perfectly, NO more awd light issues.
There is no need to buy 2 sets of wheels to make this work (rim width is not really an issue) JUST GET THE SAME SIZE TIRES ALL AROUND AND THIS WORKS PERFECTLY!

Yes, that is what I said. Put the SAME SIZE TIRES ALL THE WAY AROUND.
Sorry if this has been posted before, I personally could not find anyone with ACTUAL EXPERIENCE in this situation when doing my searches. Only people who had a good estimation it should probably work.
Please delete post if this information is so common, I searched 3 days and never found a direct answer.

Welcome to the site.
If you do have the coupe staggered 19" wheels the stagger is so minimal that for AWDs it is best to put the same tire size on all four like a 245/40/19 that you're running.
Here's a list of staggered sets that will work on AWD~
FWIW Here's the best tire combos I'd recommend for 18s/19s/20s, then pick proper wheel widths/offsets to get them to fit~
18s
235/45 & 265/40 (0.07%)
245/45 & 275/40 -0.07%
255/45 & 285/40 -0.22%
19s
225/45 & 255/40 0.06%
235/40 & 265/35 -0.37%
235/40 & 275/35 0.67%
245/40 & 275/35 -0.52%
245/40 & 285/35 0.51%
20s
235/35 & 275/30 0.07%
245/35 & 285/30 -0.07%
This calculator should be used when trying new setups~

Keep in mind the variances with a minus sign have smaller rear diameters, this isn't as good since the rears wear faster, this will cause the variance to increase over time. Not a big deal when you're starting at zero or close, but if you're already almost at 1% variance this needs to be considered. None of the above combos should have enough rear wear to be a issue but

I recently put on some Niche Essen 19x8.5 35 offset and 19x9 40 offset on my G37xs Sedan. It seems to be fine, but I called Infinity to be sure and the service department freaked me out with Infiniti doesn't condone it and it could mess up your transmission. Kind of rattled now...Should I be concerned and looking for some new rims?

No, that's not what you said. There's a difference. 245/40/19 and 285/35/19 are virtually the same diameter, but not the same size. Same size would obviously be 245/40/19 and 245/40/19.

I run this combo on my car and have no issues with AWD light. 245/275 combo has a .52% difference in diameter between them, so you are okay because it is less than 1%
