  1. Relatively small market for any particular style
  2. That's a large hunk of aluminum
  3. Each one has to be cast (means a mold was created), machined and painted/powdercoated.

This

The mold alone costs anywhere from $5000-25,000 for each one..so if they have a directional wheel (2 mold for each size), and 3 sizes, they could have $150,000 invested in just molds that must be recovered before they realize any profit.

******UPDATE*******

I got a great deal on a set of VFS6. Got all four of them for only 1,750. Thanks to Vossen. I explained my situation to them and they said that they tried finding the CV2 but couldn’t. They offered me a great price on the new set. Love it.
