Wheel spacers advice

I’ve been hesitant on getting wheel spacers for my 08 G37S Coupe. I get mixed opinions on wheel spacers like like, “wheel spacers are bad for your wheel bearings and suspension geometry” or “there should be no problems if installed correctly”. At certain angles, I don’t like how the wheels are not flush with the body. The wheels are a bit too “inside the car” if you get what I mean. I just want my car to have a little more of an aggressive stance. My car is running stock ride height with stock suspension, 245 tires all round. What would be the best width spacers? I’m looking at 10mm front and 15mm rear OR 15mm all round. If I were to get spacers, what kind of long term effects on the wheels, suspension, etc, should I look for and what kind of maintenance should I do as I have these spacers? Is there anyone who’s had or currently have spacers if there’s any problems or no problems at all?

Thanks,

Damn that looks clean af

im just concerned about wheel bearings wearing out faster when spacers are installed. As for maintenance, do you have to retorque the lug nuts on the spacers once in a while?

I did checked the spacers a few miles after the first install.
Will be removing them sometime at the end of the year when I replace the brake pads to resurface or replace the rotors....but the spacers are going back on

Do you have extended lug bolts. I read on z1 that they are necessary for 15mm and up spacers. I was wondering if that was really true.

You'll definitely need them for spacers thicker than 5mm, but most that run thicker spacers (15mm on up) use the bolt on spacers that use OEM studs and have their own wheel studs built in, much simpler install.

Thanks guys. I think I’m going with 15mm in the front and 20mm rear on stock ride height for now. I will eventually drop the car in the near future.

We're a vendor on this forum and we actually offer some nice wheel spacers for the G37 made by H&R. They are available in 3 sizes: 15mm, 20mm and 25mm thick. Check more information about this set on this page: https://www.carid.com/2008-infiniti-...-78874033.html

Just make sure your lug nuts will still grab enough of the wheel hub bolts

BTW - Here are a couple of great tips by Rochester:

Before you do this dance again next year, clean the spacers down to the metal and start over.

Since you're going to be installing and uninstalling each year, don't use the crappy half-height, open lug nuts that come with your spacers. Spend a little extra and get some quality spline-drive lug nuts. Here are some pics. The lugnuts in the first pic... toss them in the trash.

Look at the lug nuts in the second pic... spline drive nuts from Gorilla which use every single mm of thread, and you won't ever have to worry about stripping the heads. Which you will do with the little ones, guaranteed.

One piece of advise. My Ipl
has 20mm on fronts and I notice lots of small paint chips and small scratches because of minor wheel stick out. They do look great though
