Staggered wheels for the G37x

Ok, i've used the search function, so don't flame if I missed..

I am going to go with a staggered setup on my G37x, set on the 245/35 & 285/30 20" setup.

What I am wondering about is fit/offset. The wheels I am looking at are CV3R knockoffs (Niche Milan, SRT 607) and the specs would be
20x9 +35
20x10.5 +40

So I am wondering would these offsets work? Also, is there a calculator that would show me for the G37x how close/far I would be from the suspension?

Appreciated..

The 285 on that 10.5 +40 will be real close, I ran 295s on my 10 +45 and it was right at the fender edge, you would have 5mm out for the offset, 6mm out for the extra wheel width but 5mm in for the tire width, for a net 6mm out from my 295 setup. If you can run extra camber you could get it in, my camber was -1.0, if you ran camber in the -2 range it "should" tuck. A better plan would be a 235/35 & 275/30 tire set if you are sold on those wheels, that will keep your AWD compatibility and get you inside the fender.

Ok, makes sense.. So if I use my second choice of wheels (20x10, +40 & 20x8.5, +35)
That should bring in it using the 285/245 tire combo? (I got an amazing deal on the tires)
Is there a difference in the suspension layout on the 37 vs the 37x that needs to be of a concern?

That will work out better, are you lowered or plan on lowering? At stock height the tires will poke outside the fenders, but lowered w/ some camber the setup will look proper.
Suspension, not much different, the front shocks have different lower mounts and the spring rates will be a bit higher for the AWD (typically).

I do plan on lowering actually.. My "idea" is to run a swift/kyb combo (KYB will give a little more "sport" to the ride) I like the drop of the swift.. But then this brings up anotehr question I have been looking for..
I have been going back and forth between the swift/kyb & coil-overs.. I like drop of the swift and the spring rate (give it a close to stock ride without the spinal compression of crazy spring rates) The swift are 8 & 7.4.. I was looking at the Ksport, but 16k is pretty tight.. (trying to stay in the 750-850 area) Thoughts?

Might contact KSport and see if they can get you a softer spring set. Might also send a PM to "the93owner" and see what he says about them, he's had them awhile now and would be a good one to look up. BC coilovers seem to have better reviews lately, might contact them and see what they can do for spring sets too.

Looks like BC might be an option, they have a swift upg.. Also, with the 37x sedan, if I go with coil overs, is there a way to remove the spring basket in the rear and replace it?

Yes, if you go w/ the true coilover configuration rather than the OEM separate spring/shock setup. You would then need toe arms to adjust your toe.

Have about 75k miles on them now, they've held up well, they are a firm setup so if comfort is a priority I'd go w/ softer spring rates, like a Tein basis Z.
IIRC Megan no longer makes the Street LP coilovers (that's what mine are) so the newest ones may be a bit softer but ???
