Help on winter rims

Hello, I recently purchased a 2008 G37s with automatic. ( can't find manuals in my city ..)

the oem oem rims are 19 as it has the sport package

i have a brand new set of 225 50 18.

just wondering will 18 steel rims fit directly? Will them clear my front brakes? I checked Costco, on 2009 g37xs or G37s sport MT, their 18 fits. However they don't have info on 2008s

If they don't fit, do I need spacers? And what size do I need?

thank you,

mac

Check tirerack, here's a list of the 18s that will clear the sport brakes, and they start out pretty cheap at about $115

The thing is that I live in Alberta, Canada. The shipping will easily destroy all discount plus CAD to USD lol

Can you source any of those wheels from a Canadian distributor?

Well, none of them is available in my area. Shipping per 2 from tirerack is 100USD.

TBH, it is gonna be just for the winter. Steelie would do just great, I just dont know if they would fit

BTW, did the brake change in 2009 G37 sport? (comparing to 2008)

The 08 G37 Coupe has the same Akebono brakes as the newer G37s (with the Akebonos).
There's been a couple guys that have run steelies, but I can't recall if they had the big Sport calipers or the smaller base sets.

That is awesome news.

Costco Canada fitment says their 18 inches steel rims can go on 2009-2013 G37X COUPE SPORT / G37 M6 SPORT.

Not quite sure if this would help some others but here is the link to the fitment guide from Costco Canada.

You in Calgary? There's affordable locally. Otherwise PCM tire looks like they'll ship you steelies for $77 each that they say clear the brakes.

PMCtire does have them but i am a little concerned that if it doesnt fit, return would be pain in the butt as they do not have any retail store

Might be able to get them to print out this template to verify clearance.

You'd almost never find something similar north of the border, though.
