Looking for summer tire suggestions (wet traction)

So i need new rear summer tires.

Im looking for some recommendations. Most valued is wet performance, as im in the PNW so its always raining.

Tires must be available in 255/40R19

Im currently running Nito Invos in the front, i wore out the rears and was really unhappy with their treadlife and they blew on wet roads. The fronts barely look used, yet the rears are bald.

Recommendations guys?

Guys at local tire places recommended Michelin pilot sport a/s 3 and Goodyear F1 supercar. But the reviews ive read on both leave me pretty hesitant to committ to either.

Second to wet performance im after long treadlife.

Michelin Pilot PSS/PS4, Continental Extremecontact DW/Sport are the 2 high dollar tires.

Lower echelon tires are Sumitomo HTRZ3, Kumho Ecsta, Hankook Ventus and Toyo Proxes.

I'm looking at the Sumis based on friends' experience. Like you mentioned, be careful in the wet with any max performance summer tire.

Good recommendations up there^^^ I'd check the pricing for those listed, The current Continental DW extreme contacts are priced real well right now since they are being replaced by the Continental Extreme Contact Sport. If you can get the Conti DW for less than the other top rated sets that would be a good buy. Also look at the Bridgestone S0-4 Pole Positions, always rates real close to the Pilot Super Sports for quite a bit less $. Here's a couple good links

I had DWS on my TL and loved them. Not really Summer tires, though.

Well at least they are one of the top rated All Seasons and should perform well in the wet, just not the superb dry grip you'd get w/ the DW version.
