I just acquired a set of coupe 19s and intend to have them refinished. For those of you who have had wheels powdercoated, did you do any prep work first? If so, what? I intend to take the balancing weights off at the very least. Any benefit to stripping off the factory finish?

 

usually I just do a good cleaning. If you want you can take off the weights but if you go to a reputable powder coater they take care of that stuff.
