Question New Rims

Anybody have some good sites to buy rims? Was checking out TireRack.com, but looking to shop around for a while. Thanks

eBay is where it's at! Especially if you can make an offer, many sellers will make a deal with you if you let them know you're purchasing a full set.

There's quite a few questions to ask when buying wheels~
What fitment do you want (same as OEM, flush, staggered, etc)
Proper offsets to achieve the look you want
Proper widths to safely run the tires you want
Proper clearance if you ever plan to upgrade to bigger brakes
Weight of the wheel, some are real boat anchors
Color options

The ridiculous questions/threads have been out of control lately.

Just like one should stop and think before engaging mouth, one should stop and consider using a Google or some other search tool before typing up a "I'm brain dead" post on the forum of their choice. I long for the days of Search *****.

That includes posting in the coupe or sedan forums about the parts that are 90% common between the two and would be better asked in the engine or suspension forums. Why would I look in the coupe forum for suggestions on a sedan sway bars? They're the same! I would think I'd find that info in the suspension forum.

Many of these threads have been started by new members. Unfortunately they did not take the time to read the rules prior to engaging in activity on this forum. It seems like most of these threads are also pinpointed on new Wheels I guess that's what happens once the weather starts getting nice outside? Ryne had a very good thread posted up about this and BlackBetty had a great response as to what we can do to prevent the cluttering of these threads.

Again I'm not stating that I am anywhere near perfect but come on guys do your research before posting any questions. I've asked some simple questions as well but that was truly after doing my own research and coming up short or not having a definitive answer to said question.

Agreed! thanks for adding the link to Ryne's thread...

this should be added to the 'classifieds/market place' as well. I remember seeing a For Sale post which was over 2 years old - item had been sold - and just recently had a few new members posting "do you still have the item" or "how much shipped to zip code..." Ugh.... very frustrating.

Those for sale threads that were bought back from the dead got me so angry bc at first I thought they still had a chance at being available lol

If anyone sees dead FS threads please use the report post button, it's hard for us to keep up w/ current FS threads let alone ones that have been magically resurrected.
Thanks!

Idk why that didn't cross my mind. Sorry about that Brad and will definitely do it in future cases.
