These grip perfect for me. Little to no wheel spin. Off the line and 2nd gear pull. Toyo is the parent company of nitto so the quality should be similar. How much you paid for your 285s? ($252 ea. For me)

How many miles did you get out of those drag radials? I currently have the Nitto NT555 summers (also in 285s out back) and they have pretty good dry grip, I can only imagine how those drags grip.

My bad, thought they were the NT05R. Interested to hear how the "regular" NT05s last for you, keep us posted.

Got mine from Discount Tire, 245/35/20 front 285/30/20 rear. Our local drag strip re opened after a few years so I may get the matching drag NT555Rs for the back and see how it does.
Here's a shot of the set

Those are forgestar wheels yes? would u have a track dedicated set of wheels? I'm looking at those (20x9 &20x10.5) and the enkei rpf1 (rear only 18x10.5) wrapped in either nt555r or nt01.

i will reply to this thread when i am replacing these again. im at like 54000 miles on the odo.

They are Nutek Bavaria, don't think they're still being made
If I did get some drag rears they'd probably be nothing fancy but never know.
Keep us posted Pong.

I was running 295s but was in a pinch when I was on vacation and the only sets in all of Las Vegas NV that I could run had 285s max and I couldn't wait 5 days for delivery of the sizes I was running.
BTW, Imageshack is all f'd up so doubt I'll be able to reload previous pics. My Garage should still have pics though, no rubbing on 10x20 +45s dropped to zero gap on coils (on a sedan).

6 months later. My nitto nt05 still going good. Still has a lot of thread on the tires. And still gripping like it should.

Making a change in my build and I know my guy blnewt gonna help me out. Gonna be in the market for a pair of enkei rpf1 18x10.5 and a pair of nitto nt05r or nt01. Was looking at 285/40/18 as tire size but unsure of offset the wheels need to be. What are your thoughts.

And the Nittos are officially DEAD!!! had a lil too much fun this go around. Lasted a bit under a year. Great tires but the thread count (200) is a bit too low for a daily driver imo... They are more than perfect for a weekend warrior ... Going to be trying the Hankook V12 tires next. The thread count is 320 with great traction ratings. We'll see how well they last.

Out with the old (245/40/19) in with the new (275/35/19)-img_0639.jpg
