Thats what I was told, meaning they would have to break the tire down from the rim of each and swap.

Oh yeah. You have to unmount the tires to do that. I thought you meant just simply swapping the whole wheels and tires

I'm getting a vibration as well at about the same speed 65mph+
Just got the car. Brand new Conti DWS06
It's kind of a low pitched hum, almost like a massage. leaves my hand tingling after an hour of driving above 65.

I had the local shop check for balance. I have no idea if they have a force balance machine, but I'll ask next time I'm there.

I do have another set of wheels and tires on the way, So I guess I'll see if it's related to the current set or not.

I do not know if yours is an X model so...I do not want to steer you in another direction but my front drive shaft (below the gear selector) was toast and I had a bad vibration from 60-80 with the max amplitude at ~72. it was UN-driveable. Luckily the place I got it (Fishers Imports in Indiana - is awesome with a 3mo/3k mi warranty) replaced it and wasn't cheap at all. Re-balancing wasn't working.

It seems as if all these X models have a small driveline vibration/hum/drone at 60-80. In diagnosing this issue we drove 5-6 at various mileages/years and all had it. Mine was harsh and very noticeable.

The new set of wheels and tires do not have the vibration.
I will have the original set balance-checked again someplace else. Hopefully more thorough.
