TPMS question
TPMS question
I have an 2012 G37xS Sedan currently, and I have accumulated two sets of TPMS sensors in addition to my stocks. I was wondering if anyone knows the following TPMS are able to work with my car, or should I just sell them.
40700 JK00A
40700 JK00C
Thanks for your help!

They were very specific about the year of the car. The ones you listed will work on different years.

I don't know why this is the case. If they are 315 MHZ, one would think they would be programmable. Perhaps they will all work just fine...the reference was just addressing what was OEM and they just changed model for supply reasons.
I'm pretty sure when others buy tires and TPMSs, they don't specify an Infiniti TPMS model number and they program just fine.
Note: you might consider having a moderator move this thread to the wheels and tires section. It will get more specific attention there.

Hi maybe someone here can answer this TPMS question I have. I have a 2010 G37XS and last weekend I had my battery drained because I accidentally left the car in the on position. When I got the car jumped, the TPMS light blinks for about 1 minute and stays solid. The air pressure is all good. Does anyone know what I could do? Is there a reset or something? Thanks and appreciate all responses.

I recall seeing a thread on here about shorting out a particular wire under the dash then setting the pressures similarly. I'll have to see if I have that saved in my bookmarks.
I recently had a tpms swapped out because the valve was bad. Bought it from Autozone and had the same problem. Light blinked for a minute when I started the car then stayed on. I read online that the dealer charges 70-75 to relearn the tpms. I just left it on but then i needed new tires.
Got the tires mounted from Firestone they charged $20 to reset the tpms light because you need the tool for it. Hope that helps!

changed to my oem winter wheels with TPMS and now the TPMS light is on.
called around and dealer wants 75-100 to get it recalibrated. Come spring when i put on my summer wheels i'll have to pay another 75-100 to get it recalibrated again.
any advice? live with the light or anywhere to get it done cheaper?

See if you can get a tire shop to clone the sensors so that both sets of wheels have the same codes for the sensors so there's no re-calibration needed. Amazing that the car can't store multiple sets of codes.
