ah no i would of have for sure.... when i originally looked to replace my tires i was looking at the PSS again. couple things came into play though. the rears for my specs were not in stock anywhere. I think the PSS in general have inventory issues on their rear tires at this time. I couldn't wait for them to come in to stock so i went a different route. Also price was a factor after that. Saved hundreds of dollars going this route. For arguably the second or third best tire behind the PSS. It was my setup and not having a camber kit front and back from the get go. alignment was much too out of wack. the tires ended up wearing down on the innards on all four to the point where they all needed to be replaced. Never knew until i had the car up in the air and really looked at the tires.

Thanks for the update. I had the s-04's on my list as a potential replacement. One issue I don't want to deal with again is significant road noise when the tire is worn. I've read elsewhere that the s04's get just as loud as the re050's that came stock on the car. Around town this is not an issue but on concrete interstate becomes deafening. I'm hopeful the PSS's don't exhibit this or to such an extent.

Newbie question here - Conti isn't making the DWS 06 in the stock 225/50-18? I'm in Michigan and will see fringe snow and ice in the spring and fall. Does that leave me with the original DWS as the best option?

Other suggestions? I could use the stock 18's with a set of winter tires and find some 19" wheels to wear summer tread, but it seems like a waste.

Part numbers for their DWS06 in that size are in our system. Not sure on the eta yet but hopefully should see before snow falls.

We'll, maybe I'll put off new tires for a few more weeks. I just Tweeted Continental, so will be interested to see if they share anything useful. Thanks, Neal.

I have had the DWS-06 on my '12 Vert for about a month now. They are 19's 245/40 and 285/35. So far so good. I need to put some more mileage in different weather conditions to give a fair review.

Continental Tweets: "Expecting them later this year" That's good, but i already had ruled out earlier this year. ;-)

Is there any reason I can't put the 245/45-18 DWS 06 (now available) on my '10 AWD Coupe with the stock 8" wheels? Seems like it might be a nice beefier look and gets me into the tire I want anyway.

I'm assuming others are running the 245/45 vs the 225/50 in many cases anyway?

A 245/45-18 on the oe wheels all around will fit perfectly fine. Pretty common upgrade over oe.

Thanks, Neal - I appreciate the response. I found essentially the same info yesterday after some more diligent searching. Ordered them yesterday at 4:00, picked up in Michigan at UPS Center at 10:00am. Thanks for the great service. I really like the new tread pattern and the sidewalls look good, too. Sooooo, much smoother than my 5 year old OEM tires with $42k on them that its hard to describe. Very responsive with a much smoother and quieter ride.

I'll try to post some pictures when I get back from the weekend.
