Best tires-mid price range
I'm a believer in TireRack and my own experience.
Why TireRack? Well, tell me about someone else who
Tests the tires they sell.
Run Surveys on each tire from all sorts of people....including people who didn't like the tire.....and you can go through and see the infiniti drivers.
The best A/s tire according to them is the Continental DWS.
That is also the tire that came OEM on my Mercedes and I loved it.
About $165.
IF you buy a Summer tire, understand that it doesn't take snow to kill you. 40 degrees should do it nicely.
Otherwise there is no better tire for driving performance than summer tires in general.....but I doubt that a poor summer tire will outperform a great A/s tire.

My wifes 370Z came with summer only rubber, and she drives it all winter except for when it snows.(or if there is salt on the roads) She has never had a problem, but she doesn't drive like an idiot when it's cold either. To stay on topic, the BF Goodrich G Force Sport Comp2 is a great summer only tire. I am super impressed with the set I have on my coupe. The OP didn't say what type of tire they were looking for though, so I don't know if that's relevant info.
i hated my Hankooks anytime it was under 40 degree's. They turn into hockey pucks. Luckily we don't have long cold stints so I managed through - Time for new shoes for me too so I'm searching for a change.
I still have the stock potenza Re050's on the back, but the fronts were too worn on the sides and caused too much understeer. I replaced the fronts with some potenza re760 sports, and the handling is much improved. I would say they are comparable to the stock summer rubber.
Thanks for all the input guys. I've been banging my head against the wall all day trying to decide on tires. Ugh.
Anyway ive narrowed the search to the DWS or the Nitto Motivos

I just installed Michelin MXM4's on my wife's 37x. Great all season tire and rides quiet which she prefers. Next choice was the Conti DWS but very happy with the Michelins and they had a $70 rebate on a set of four.
Dude, i'll give you the best answer here. Get Nitto Motivo's. The Motivo's are priced very good at Discount Tire Web and they last long time. I have had mine tires for over a year. Trust me I been wasting my money on tires that burn up super fast and finally started looking at tires that last longer for like $20 bucks more a tire. Only negative they're not the super best in the rain but just don't drive like a dummy in the rain and problem solved.
Hankook Ventus handle great but I was lucky to get 9 months out of them. Waste of money in my opinion.

Nitto Tires Motivo 275/30ZR20 XL 97W
I spent $200 more on another site yesterday but this company price matches. So I'm either gonna get the price matched or return the tires. Still a good deal
Hacked by the wife! Ugh happy freakin bday loser
Ok I contacted DiscountTireDirect.com about their price match offer. They were more than happy to match the price of $148.63 per Nitto Motivo 275/30/20 with a 60,000 mile tread warranty. That's $71 cheaper than the $220 I had originally paid for the tires!
Only negative in this equation is they are currently out of stock in this brand and aren't sure when they will have them. But I'm a patient man and I'm very happy to have finally completed this arduous journey of pricing, comparing, And buying new tires. Whew! I have to say that was the single most stressful mod I've done yet. Thank you for all the helpful posts on this thread. The recommendations and pricing suggestions were very helpful.
