Low tire pressure light (help)

Hey guys, i was driving and then out of nowhere my Low tire pressure light turned on for no reason i checked my tires and they all seem strong, its been 3 days and its still on, what should i do? I have aftermarket rims but that shouldn't be the problem because I've been driving with them for a long time. Car has 61k mile on it.

What does "all seem strong," mean?

Did you just visually look at your tires or test the air pressure?

What is the pressure on all four tires?

Do you have a good quality tire pressure gauge?

Tire pressure drops in cold weather

If the pressure is normal and the light won't go off, it's posibke that one or more of the sensors is damaged.

Spend $5-10 bucks and invest in a tire PSI checker. Something like this:
Amazon.com: SX Series Accugage Low Pressure Tire Pressure Gauge 1-15 PSI: Automotive Amazon.com: SX Series Accugage Low Pressure Tire Pressure Gauge 1-15 PSI: Automotive

I bought a similar one from Walmart for around $5, if I recall correctly.

Just put it in your glove box and forget about it.

I don't like the pen type PSI gauges because if the stick gets roughed up or it get dirty or gets any kind of grease or grit inside, then it might not deploy properly. (although pretty unlikely)

And the digital ones are nice, but they take batteries.

The reason I mention this is because you can't count on the tire pressure gauges that are built in to gas station air refilling stations. People damage those quite frequently and they can be inaccurate.

Possible TPMS Sensor Low Battery

This just recently happened to my G37. If it blinks for one minute and then stays illuminated it is either defective or low on battery. If you have a warranty it should be covered but if not they charge right around two hundred dollars to install a new one. 60 bucks for one hour of work makes me want to become a tech.
