Vossen CVT Wheel Fitmen

A friend of mine has a set of Vossen CVT wheels size 19x10 with a 235/35 tires them with a 20mm offset. Would these wheels fit on my car without any suspension changes? Thanks guys!

Are you currently on the stock OEM suspension?

They will not look good at stock height IMO, will be sticking out past fenders on a sedan.

They'll stick out about 2 inches. Need to lower the car and run about 3 degrees of negative camber to make them fit. The tire size is another story altogether

This offset is too aggressive for the sedan. They will stick out to much on stock height, I personally wouldn't recommend these.

What about on a stock height coupe? Will this be to aggressive still? If so what would you recommend for the 20"?

Yes will still be aggressive. Recommended for the G coupe/Sedan is our 19x8.5/19x10 +32/42 offsets or 20x9/20x10.5 +32/45 offsets.

Would coil-overs make a difference in the appearance? If so is there a set you can recommend? Sorry about all the questions, the friend of mine is just giving me them so I am trying to make them fit!

And even that offset is too aggressive without lowering the car. However, with 2* of negative camber on Swift Springs, the rears pull in well enough to look OK.

My CVT's are staggered 19". Never wanted to drop, but here I am anyway.

I see the Springs ended up working beautifully, John!

Certainly not perfect, but more of win than a loss, I'd say.

After alignment, the negative camber is higher than I was hoping, at -1.3*/-1.5* in the front, -2.1*/-2.2* in the rear. I don't think that will be a problem, but was expecting lower numbers. And I really don't want to tear up the insides of these Pilot Super Sports.

The offset on these CVT wheels, at +32/+42 front/rear, is pretty aggressive, resulting in different flush fitment front to rear on the G37 Sedan. In particular, the rears poke further than the front, which is compensated by the drop and the negative camber. That said, I put 3mm spacers on the fronts (not represented in that picture), to help with continuity.

The drops on these Swift Springs was supposed to be 1.2" and 0.8" respective front to rear. However, the rear still looks lower than the front, with typical NISSAN design. I'm considering raising the rear 3/8" to 1/2" higher with customized ES strut bushings. IDK... still weighing that option.

Ideally: coil-overs. I'm loosely planning on coil-overs and light-weight 18" wheels some years off, selling the VOSSENS at that time. Maybe 3 years out. But for now, lowering springs are OK.

Honestly I'm surprised to see that you are planning (albeit years away) to get rid of your Vossens. Any reason why?

The wider 19" Vossens are a few pounds heavier than the 24/25 pound 18" duckfeet, and are purely an appearance mod. I really struggled with the compromise of appearance over performance, so part of the rationale was that I'd go this route for a few years, then turn around and do something else.

For me, the hobby is as much about planning as it is driving the car. So this gives me something else to plan for... like upgrading from OEM to aftermarket springs to coil-overs. Or upgrading the OEM airbox to a SRI to a long-tube design.

You also choose parts that seem to have no problem selling down the road for good prices in the classified section, whether intentional or not that is a bonus
