Tires

There 225-50-18 and I want to go to 225-45-18

traction in the rain is most important to me and with this frinkin rear so sensitive in the rain, I'm tired of these all season tires I have.

I remember these guys were ok for the price

I don't think going with a shorter tire wall is going to give you more traction in the rain. You can go wider for a more contact patch, or stickier tire. If you go with summer tire the the Michelin pilot super sport is the way to go. I have all season tires on my car and I get a lot of wheel spin if I'm not careful

Those tires you linked to are not particularly good in any way. Not particularly bad either. What do you have now? And wider tires don't help in the rain, they are actually more suceptible to hydroplaning.

I had those on my old Genesis Coupe. I was very happy with the wet and dry performance of them. Did have an issue with a slow leak on one but I don't know if it was a defect in it or not. Traded the car before I could figure out the issue.

I have noticed that my G37 is very sensitive in the rain. Wasn't sure if it was the cheap tires that were on the car or the car itself.

Get Michelin Super Sports. You want better rain and dry performance you are going to have to spend a little bit more. Tires make a HUGE difference and they are definitely something where you "get what you pay for."

I have run several sets of Hankook Ventus V12s. Now i run exclusively Michelin Super Sport and Nokian Z-Line. There is a monumental difference in overall performance no matter dry OR wet...

Word. I can't speak for the Michelins, but do not skimp on tires - they can marginalize the entire vehicle and are incredibly linked to all aspects of the car's performance.
