Black rims

Hello all. Just got my first G37S. It's a 2010. I want black rims on it. Should I buy new ones that are already black. Then maybe I could go with 20's. Second option is powder coating the rims I now have black. I found a place that would take the tires off the rims and powder coat them then balance and reinstall the rims for $560. What would you do?

What is your price range? what do YOU want to do? You're modifying the car for something you want.. not something we want. If you were going to spend money on rims and tires.. I'd tell you to buy a supercharger.

edit for a real answer: Unless you've got a budget that can include a drop.. don't put 20s on your car and go the route of the 19s. But my opinion would be to make each purchase a once purchase for your car unless you are sponsored, have a great budget, etc. Think of your build, make a list, and go from there. Doing something once (power coat, mount/balance/etc) may cost you $560 now but if you really want 20s but end up doing the power coat now.. then you're looking at $$$(price of 20s) + $$$(price of tires) + $$$(mount/balance) + $560(thrown away money) you already spent on something that only tided you over till you could afford the 20s.

Rikter makes some good points. The stock 19s are a quality wheel that is better than a lot of aftermarket rims. If you like the look of them then I'd invest in the powdercoating, I also think a gunmetal shade would look better than black on your silver G, I think it would compliment the color rather than contrast it, but that's just my opinion. The price sounds fair for a complete powdercoat & remount job as long as you've seen their work before.
