On a side note, looks like I may be forced to replace the rears as this happened today. On my way to the shop to asses the damages.
Sorry Geezer. If that is all the way through, you're going to need a new tire since its on the sidewall.

My local tire shop has a set of 4 Falken Ziex ZE950 they want to sell me. Price is right but little info on this tire. Of course they are offered in both sizes to maintain the staggered stock setup. Anyone have experience with this make/model or can suggest something comparable from experience? They quoted me $647 OTD, $50 mail in rebate.
Since I rarely have to buy tires due to my low mileage, I need opinions. Thanks!

I'd look at Toyo T1Sports, very good summer tire at decent prices, ask for Andrew and mention myG37.com for nice deals

Those look great but I can't find them for the front 225-50-18,
only the rear (245-45-18). Am I missing something?

Sry, guess they don't have that one covered
You can run 235/45/18 in front and 245/45/18 rear just fine on your RWD S, if you were AWD you'd need to run the 225s.
