Rims - Matte Black or Black Chrome??
I like the look of the Black Chrome as well...
I'm assuming these are the wheels?

It's tough to say which finish is better since the rims are completely different designs, only similarity is having 5 spokes. Those black chrome sets do have a look similar to volks, so that's a bonus.

Yea those are them. Size, this is my wifes car...of course she doesnt want anything on it...but when I put the R2C's on hers...suddenly she loves the performance and sound actually....so I'm trying to work a few things in slowly.....problem is I bought brand new tires (oem 17") about a month ago not knowing that I would buy rims. We bought the G used back in June of this year and there is alot of wear on the stock rims...so I would be just replacing the same 17x7.5" size. Ideally I would throw some 20" on it and call it a day...but cant justify buying brand new tires twice within a couple months timeframe.
However, the design of those particular rims have the spokes ending before the lip, which even further narrows the perception of the rim diameter. That, coupled with an already small 17" wheel...I don't think it will look right at all. It will be a flashy bit of attention for something that looks awkward.
With that consideration in mind, the matte rims are a far more appealing design (IMO), in that the spokes extend to the lip edge. My issue with those rims isn't their design, it's the matte finish. It's going to look like the kid who cuts your lawn plastidipped the rims for you.
My opinion is to go with the matte rims, but get them in a silver finish.

Couple diff angles of the black chrome

As for the silver colorway...I liked the look but for whatever stupid *** reason...the silver come in a universal pattern and not just 5x114.....would like retarded with 5 extra holes open
Those extra holes look really stupid. Plus, the polished surface contrasts way too much with the gloss black inlay. I don't like that at all. Actually prefer the matte black to that.Limiting yourself to these two rims gives you a lengthy pro/con list for both. I thing you should cast a wider net for options, and find a rim that makes you 100% happy. Another consideration here is to not pick a rim that calls attention to the non-Sport brakes. That's not something you're going to like seeing in a more in-your-face way.
g'luck
