Wheel Fitment Questions - G37 Newbie

So I have 20x8.5 +35 front with 245/35/20 and 20x9.5 +42 Rears with 275/30/20. Will I encounter rubbing? Based on what I read on the forums, it looks like it's a pretty nice fitment. How will the fitment be? These wheels are currently in my storage and I won't even take them out until I put some miles on this car.

I'm planning to lower enough to get about 1 finger gap, but nothing that'll make the car undriveable.

Thoughts? Feedback?

Thanks!

You'll be fine w/ that setup
Only caveat would be if you have the S model w/ the big calipers, many wheels won't clear them.

What do you suggest with the S model on a sedan?

The OEM coupe 19" wheels will fit just fine and can often be found in the marketplace here for nice deals.

There's a lot of 19s that will fit but need to contact the vendor to be sure prior to placing the order. Roberts' Fat tire thread that's in his signature above is a good place to see wheels that will work. Here's some that I really like if you're on a tighter budget~Charles @ B2Autodesigns will get you a nice price, mention the site and he'll hook you up
B2 Auto Designs

These are also a nice wheel that will clear the big brakes, and they're a quality lighter weight forged wheel in the marketplace right now~

Small correction. Fronts are +39. They are volk GTC. It says fronts are "high" type off sets and rears are "mid" type offsets. I think highs mean that they will clear bigger cipers? Can someone with Volks chime in?

I do have the sport model with bigger brakes

High offset just means they're a higher positive offset which means they'll be more inside the fender, the smaller the positive offset the more they'll stick out. Most volks clear BBK but always good to check w/ the vendor to be sure.

Those offsets will fit fine however you have to test fit them to see if they clear the BBK

What about the Vossen VVSCV1 19s instead of the coupe 19s?

Available Sizes: 19x8.5 front & 19x10 rear

Most Vossens clear the calipers, I'd shoot for offsets in the +35 to +40 front and +45 rear, that will give you room to run 245 or 255s in front and up to 295s in back. Vossen is good about knowing what will fit our Gs, just give them a call and they'll get you the right setup.

The only 19" fitment that Vossen makes to clear "S" model brakes is the CV3. You will need spacers with the CV1's because the caliper clearance is poor on that wheel. CV1's in 20" will clear all day long. One of my friends inquired awhile back on those. Hope that helps.

It helps a lot. Basically, I don't want to drop my 2013 G37 S Sedan, and understand that 19s will look best. I want the look to be aggressive, but not ghetto at all. So, your suggestions and help is greatly appreciated.

So perhaps 19x10 all the way around?

19x10 will look sweet, but on a S model you will need to run a spacer to clear the front brake. If you are not dropping the G, that 19x10 setup will look a bit ghetto. I would suggest just sticking to a staggered set-up for the cleaner look you are trying to achieve.
