Tire Maintenance Warning

Someone please help

Okay so on my way to work this warning my 2011 g37xs coupe displayed a tire maintenance warning (not the general reprogrammed maintenance warning).

Please tell me this is a general warning and not something wrong with my tires.

Here is what my car is displaying (not original photo)

I swear I searched the forum but upon further searching on google I believe it is just for tire rotation. Thanks anyway guys

Isn't that a mileage reminder set by the service department? Look at the tread life. How many miles do you have on the tires? Maybe time for a rotation. If the TPMS sensor hasn't found loss in pressure, I wouldn't worry much. Look at thread and maybe start shopping.

That isn't an indication of any malfunction. That is a user set reminder, not a warning. You can set what mileage you want it to display the reminder or turn it off completely. There are only 2 buttons that control that display One is a reset/adjust button and one is an enter button.

Thanks guys. I figured as much but just got into work and didn't have time to mess with it.
Only 14,500 miles on the tires and the tread already is looking pretty worn down and sidewalls are discolored. One tire in particular does not look great in terms of the discoloration of the sidewall (its not dirt). What does that mean? just normal or excessive wear?

the summer tires on the sports models last anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000 miles so i doubt you are in need of replacement at the moment. that is unless you are drifting or tracking it on weekends.

The g37xs coupe has all seasons unfortunately and they have worn quite quickly.

Also is there an easier way to host photos besides photobucket. Can this be done from facebook or google+?

you can link photos by attaching the link. I'm not sure if you can embed them other than from the ones mentioned in the instructions.

Bad tire? The tire just look extremely dirty that's why you see discoloration. Turn the wheels so we can look at the actual treads. But it looks fine to me from what I can tell.

Like others already state..that's basically the tire maintenance that you can set to whatever you want. I set mines to every 1k-2k miles for it to remind me to take a look and check out my tires.

That tire looks like its missing something. A good tire cleaning product, a stiff bristled brush, and lots elbow grease. Beyond that it looks fine. It just looks dirty. That brown will come off if you scrub.

This works wonders:
