New Michelin Tire..

Looks like Michelin is releasing a new A/S tire - looks interesting...

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Tire Test - Evaluating All-Weather Performance Tires - WOT on Motor Trend

I hope we see a comparison between this and the PSS....

Saw this today... another review:

Review: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3

Pretty impressive for an A/S to beat the conti DW and pretty impressive wet and dry performance.

The big question for me will be winter performance. Most compounds used in summer tires (which yield good summer performance) stiffen up significantly in cold weather making the summer tire non-drivable in the winter time. If you can get good cold weather traction and decent mild snow/ice traction, this might be a good all-season choice for a lot of people.

I love my Pilot SS Summer Tires and think they are the new standard..... but I need dedicated performance winter tires to drive in the wintertime.

Hopefully the A/S3 will also push the envelope for the all season category.

Guys,

Nice find! I'll decide in Aug if I will put on 20's or get these new A/S tires if they have the sizes I'm wanting. Wondering what the cost will be?...

It won't handle as well as the Pilot Super Sport since that is the best summer rubber one could buy, but it will definitely beat the lesser brand tires like the Hankook Evo V12s.
