coupe vs sedan wheel weights
Considering upgrading to OEM coupe sport 19s vs my sedan sport 18s, but unsure about weight gain. Does anyone have these specs for both cars' wheels?
thanks
thanks

Wheels: 19"x8.5". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti by Enkei. Weight: 26.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5 Offset +43
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 225/45/19 92W. UTQG 140AA, weight 27 lbs., tread depth 10/32"
Rear:
Wheels: 19"x9". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti byEnkei. Weight: 27.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5. Offset +45
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/40/19 94W. UTQG 140AA, weight 30 lbs., tread depth 10/32"
For the sedan:

Not 100% on the sedan wheel weight. That's what I found with a quick search.

Debating between stick with OEM sedan 18's and shoe on PSS's, try to find some OEM coupe wheels and shoe on PSS's in the factory fitment size, or third- get some avant garde M310s in 8.5/9.5" widths and shoe on PSS's in coupe factory fitment (225/245). Between two and three, I feel three wins unless I can find coupe wheels for significantly less than a grand.
The first will yield the best performance and ride, but isn't as pretty. Tough one, because I'm usually a form follows function kind of guy.
I'd jump on those coupe wheels, you should be able to find some in your budget. Those ugly 17&18" wheels on the current G sedans really take away from an otherwise beautiful car IMO.

Indeed, but for clarification I'm coming from the perspective of weight savings when I say the stock wheel and tire combo will probably be the best performer. This is particularly true in that I'm primarily considering stock tire widths
A couple of pounds of wheel weight DOES make a difference. Try to offset it with a lighter tire.
C&D did a report some time ago - measuring the effect of larger/heavier wheel/tires. Basically - as wheel size went up, weight also went up. As weight went up, performance and MPG went down.
Found it: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...d-tires-tested
When it's time to replace my RE050's - I'll be looking for a high performance but LIGHTER tire.
Also - anyone know the weight of the Journey 17" wheel??
Thanks

IMO 19s or 20s will give you better performance (all things being equal) due to the stiffer sidewalls, now ride is definitely firm, but I love it that way.
