An Easier Way to Use the Car Jack

I used my cordless drill to raise and lower the car. Way easier and quicker than hand cranking. At only 7 seconds to go up or down its quicker than my trolly jack.

That jack looks scary!

Get yourself a real floor jack & jackstands. Save the factory jack for when you need to change a tire on the side of the road.

$100 at most costco's.

Not even, between using Infiniti Roadside Assistance, and AAA, that jack will stay as an ornament in my trunk!!

Ha! The term trolly jack must be before my time. Although, the rest of my comment still holds true - safety is most important.

I have never heard a floor jack called a trolly jack. Maybe it's a Canadian thing.

Also all of my trollies used to run on a I-beam along the roof

Only reason I ever use the crappy factory jack is to raise my car enough to get my 3 ton floor jack under the car. Sits too low otherwise.

I didn't mean to suggest someone should crawl under their car with just the factory jack. On a flat cement garage floor I 1. Raised winter tire slightly off ground 2. Removed winter tire 3. Installed summer tire 4. Lowered car. It was fast easy and safe with the factory jack and I didn't bend the ends of the jacking points. If someone was going to use their jack anyway, than as the title says, this is "An Easier Way to Use the Car Jack"

^^Tom, in the context of internet forums, anything is possible.

I read on a different site (kia I think), about someone using the emergency jack to give enough clearance to perform an oil change. I had that in the back of my mind when I replied originally. This kid/guy is convinced it's safe to do so.
