The color of the powder I used is actually called "Gun Metal." It's an exterior powder with a medium gloss finish - that is the only finish the powder came in, I did not have a choice. Make sure you use an exterior powder and do NOT get them clear coated.

Hey Moonlite, I dont know squat about how to mod out my G37S.... how the heck did you do that to your stock wheels?
Where did you buy the powder? How did you go about doing it? Im very interested and would love to turn my stock rims into a darker color.

Dude, I don't know squat either, LOL. I bought a set of used 19" sport rims and took them to a local powder coating shop. I picked out the color powder I wanted and had the shop do everything. The cool thing about the process is that before the rims get powder coated, they have to be sand blasted. The sand blasting removes any surface scratches and scuffs, so after the process, its like having a brand new set of rims. However, the sand blasting will not remove curb rash. It cost me about $500 for everything and took the shop about a week - so you def need a second set of rims. The powder coating is way more durable than paint and contrary to what some guys have posted on here, powder coating does not compromise the integrity of the rims.
Came out pretty nice.. I got me a red g37s coupe, so thinking about saving some money for now and just going with coils on the stock 19s, and maybe getting the gunmetal or black powdercoat.. Where are you from loth, i know down south here in fla there is a place right by my work, do a great job. They did my intercooler piping and valve cover on my other car. All powder coating is is a powdered paint, that sprays out of a special gun, that puts like -charges on in it so it sticks to metal, and then they put it in giant ovens, and it bakes on.
