Hey Alan,

I'm sure you're aware that there are different OEM wheels and tires on different models from different years. If you let people know exactly which ones your referring to you're more likely to get help.

Cool

Front = 26.5# wheel + 27# tire = 53.5#
Rear = 27# wheel + 28# tire = 55#

So if you decide to go aftermarket wheels you'll gain 25+ pounds all around on most CAST setups unless you buy lite wheels(big money). Stock G Coupe Sport Wheels are lighter and more expensive to replace than most stock cast aftermarket wheels.

Cool

You can get back some of that lower weight by choosing the right replacement tires. I have used Michelin PS2s on a CLK350, a 350Z and a 335i with wonderful results, it's a great street/performance tire that also 'shines' in the rain. On the G37S you can save 14 pounds of unsprung weight over the stock Potenzas by mounting the appropriate PS2s. And all the weight is lost at the best possible location - on the wheel circumference.

Tell me about it. My XIX X17 + Nitto NT555 weighted a lil over 60lbs a piece...
