What should I expect to pay for a premium for the bolts from tuner shops or from Mackin?

 

******Just to update;

I received the screws yesterday and I WAS going to go down to the shop that initially caused the mess up, but I didn't want to drive an hour an a half down to Philly, so me and my dad went ahead AGAIN.

We got through all four wheels pretty easily, but we only hand tightened the bolts after what happened, so I'm hoping that's strong enough???

I also used Loctite Blue 242 before screwing the bolts in. We did a different method as well. We screwed all the bolts in first with our hand, then tightened in a star pattern, then tightened a little bit going around in a circle. I'm hoping/guessing the torque is around 10lbs/ft but thats a guess considering we DIDN'T use the torque wrench that broke the screw the first time.

When we were going through the bolts, the very last one.... broke. lol We think it broke because the shop had lost 5-6 regular nuts that came with the bolts so I guess they improvised... with some shietty *** nuts. When we used one of the shietty nuts, it snapped the bolt, so I don't think it was the torqueing entirely; I think it was more of the nut.

Anyways, I'm going to put my Volks on later today.

~~~~~On a side note, I think I resolved my wheel past my fender issue for my rear wheels as well since the hub made my wheels stick out more. It was causing me to rub against the fender which was really aggrivating but I'm pretty sure switching the faces will resolve all my issues.

Yea I hope everything is smooth too, but honestly, when we were taking off the bolts, they weren't that tight and some seemed tighter than others and I had no problems on them before. The only thing that I'm concerned about now is that the wheels aren't properly balanced since I switched the faces and one hub is bigger than the other so it might cause something.

 

could you tell me where to get the bolts as well?

Just get them powdercoated, you'll save yourself a humungous headache.

 

The garage that FKd it up should fix them or swallow the cost to have them fixed...you did pay for a service, and that service should be guaranteed. No???

 

Yes, but I didn't want to drive an hour and a half out of the way. They said they would fix their mistake, but in the end, they just might make it worse so I decided to do it myself with my dad. We practically did the same process as any other shop would do. Plus, the shop had some nuts tighter than other ones, like one would be torqued 15lb/ft and another one would be like 35lb/ft. So I really don't know what tool they were using or if they bolts got loose or not, but whatever they did.... wasn't enough for me to go back to them, ever.

 

Should I get them re-balanced considering I just switched the faces?

 

Yes......I would.

And yes... Your wheels will DEFINATELY need to be rebalanced.

Congrats on getting everything back together. Hopefully everything works out well. Just remember to check on them regularly to make sure nothing's coming loose.
