Hey bro, so I'm really new to this and I got on this thread because I'm actually buying a set of Vossen VFS1's straight from the man himself (Diego). Anyways, so I've had my 2011 G37S Coupe for almost 2 years now and I finally decided it was time to start working on my baby. Haha.

So, the wheels that I'm getting from Diego are 20x9.5/20x10.5 +25 all around and I'm planning to run a 255/30/20 and 275/30/20 setup.

I just wanna ask, what did you need to do to get everything setup and what did you need to buy? I'm gonna be lowered on stance or bc racing coils with it.

I was speaking with Diego and he told me I'll be needing a rear camber kit and to get my fender rolled. How was your setup? How did you make it work? Thank you. Your reply will be very much appreciated.

 

Camber kits are usually ideal so you can adjust and set the camber to your liking. You should be fine with just the rear, most people leave the front stock.

You shouldn't need to roll your fenders so maybe you misunderstood Diego. Usually if you trim the fender lining and shave the rear bumper bracket that will give you enough clearance for that set up.

Vossen VFS2s; 20" x 9.5F, 20" x 10.5R +25 Offset front and back. The pictures are with Tein Springs but going with coilovers this summer.


The last two pictures are of the rims refinished with the front face of the spokes in stain black (everything else remained bronze). I'm excited about the contrast and how it's going to look on the car when I put them on in a couple of weeks.

 

Any issues with rubbing in the front or rear with a +25 offset? Did you have to cut the rear bracket or anything? And what tire sizes are you running Ning in the front and rear?? Beautiful car btw!

 

When I first put the rims / tires on, I was on Eibach springs and didn't have any issues with rubbing; however, after putting on the Tein S-Tech's, I definitely had rubbing issues with the rear wheels (the fronts were still ok and didn't rub). In order to fix the rubbing issue (like many others have done), I trimmed the fender liner using a X-Acto knife and had a friend at the shop dremel the bumper bracket that is right at the corner of where the rear bumper meets the rear quarter panel. You have to really dremel it all the way down in order for the wheels to clear. That bracket isn't overly critical because the bumper clips in there so it's ok to dremel it all the way. There is another mounting position behind the one that must be dremeled and that position does well to secure the bumper into place.


Besides all of that, it's really clear sailing. I have a 10.5" rim at the back SO I used a 275 tire for some stretch and that stretch also helps to miss and clear the bumper fender. Going with a 285 tire probably would bring things super close to rubbing without rolling the fender (I didn't have to roll my fenders with the 275 tire). The good thing about the 275 tire is that it isn't TOO stretched and still looks good and not ridiculous. Up front, the rim is 9.5 and I used a 245 tire. 245 is also the same, doesn't look to stretched and ridiculous and clears easily. I'm not sure however if a 255 tire in the front would rub..?


I have Nexen on the front and also had them on the rear but suffered an unexpected blown tire with my rear Nexen's last summer when driving and hitting some debris on the highway. Since my front were worn a bit already, I purchased used Hero tires for the rear that matched the wear of my front's and will roll with that setup during the summer (I plan to go with a full and different tire setup next year; more than likely Hankook). The Nexen's have a great sidewall and stretch nicely and so do the Hero tires actually. The Nexen's were affordable and I like them (not too much road noise and they are great in the rain). There are so many tire options though and good research will get you to where you need to be.

Rocking the CV5's. It might be time to retire them and try out the new VFS-5's

 

Nice^^^ Always thought that CV5 in graphite was a great looking wheel.

I need to replace one of these wheels due to damage, but they are discontinued. Anyone have a hookup or know of any for sale? I need 20 x 10.5.

Rubbing is occurring on the wheel well bracket of the rears because I just learned about the classic rubbing going on. These will be ground down per instructions from myg37.

I want to thank Bryan (IPL G37) for helping me.

Also this is the same setup Diego did a while back.

Can't wait to get springs and shocks. It will look more amazing once it's dropped.
