How to tell OEM wheel width size???

Hey guys,

I recently had Infiniti warranty swap two of my wheels on the passenger side of my car (Front and Rear). After the swap, I feel as if my car is slightly going to the left and I had double checked the pressure to be 36 all the way around.

I have a feeling they may have installed the rear rim on the front tire, and front tire on the rear rim. Are there any special marking or is there anyway I can find out which width I have installed where?

Thanks for your help.

what are the tire sizes? the staggered set-up on the "S" has different sizes for wheels and tires for the front and rear. as far as the wrong wheels on the front/rear; the front hubs have an extra stud to prevent this.

An extra stud??? I've owned 4 other Nissan products before my G and all of my wheels have always had 5 studs.

Never noticed that, Thank you! Would you by any chance know what the front/rear measurements are supposed to be?

should be listed in your owners manual: for the "S" 19x8.5 F 19x9 R. BTW the max PSI I see is 33 F and 35 R. and if you didn't see the extra stud/pin on the front hub, you need to look closer.

or just look on the driver's side door sill. there is a placard there with the wheel/tire sizes listed (for OEM only obviously)

only way to visually tell is if the front wheels sit farther out than the rear wheels right now b/c the fronts are 8.5" wide vs 9" rears

it does kind of look that way. Going to take them off after work today to check the sizes of what's written on the inside of the spoke

take it back to where it was installed... have them do it so they won't blame you for anything.

also front tires are 225/45/19 and rears are 245/40/19... i'm sure they can read that

very interesting, i took off the front wheel and it clearly was marked "FRONT" on the inside spoke and the size read 19x8.5J...

Is it possible they could have knocked my alignment out of wack??? STRANGE!

1. You can't put the rear wheels on the front without removing the extra stud/pin
2. Your PSI may be too high
3. What was the reason for the "swap"?
4. tramlining
5. take it back to the dealer
6. anything is possible; however unlikely
