Vossen in Canada?
Vossen in Canada?
Anyone know where to get vossens in canada? My dealer has VVS-CV1 but at $4400 that';s at least $1000 more than in the US.
Any ideas?
Also what do you think I could get for my stock G37S wheels (with 50% tread left)?
Thanks

Buy them from a vendor and have them shipped to Freeport forwarding in champlain NY. Its a 45 min drive from Montreal. Drive there, pick them up, declare them on the way back, you pay 5% tax for items made in the states.
It's really worth it and you save a ton of $. Specially if the vendor offers free shipping within the USA. I've used Freeport a few times and had no issues at all. Wish I would have found out about it earlier.
I buy all my tires from the states and have them shipped there.

I'm also facing this dilemma.. Vendors here in BC want 2400-2600 for the wheels and 1050ish for the tires incl mount, balance and taxes.
But if you buy from the states you can probably get the wheels for 1800-2000shipped however after the con version fees, duty, HST and gas it adds up..
Let's say the wheels are 2000USD.
Conversion Fee: 2.5%
Paypal Transaction Fee: 3.9%
Paypal Fixed fee: $0.30 USD
Exchange Rate: 1 CAD = 0.99010 USD
= $2158.44CAD
Duty: 6%
Tax: 12%
= $2562.50CAD
+GAS = $50CAD
Total: $2612.50 CAD
Now most shops won't mount and balance from you if you don't buy the wheels from them and they charge about $180 for mounting 20"s...
2612.50 + $180
20 Tires = $1050
= $3842.5
So without all the hassle and time wasted + warranty issues you could have the shop do it for $3450 and save more money... lol The only way to win is if you get a used set from the states and figure out how to not declare to avoid duty + taxes when crossing the border
