Need a good All Season Tire for G37x
Trending Topics
UHP a/s I would go with the Conti DWS
grand touring a/s I would go with the Michelin Primacy MXV4 (I use this currently)
both are in the top 2 of their categories...in 245-45-18, Conti is $172 in and Michelin is $203
thanks all.
I have the dunlop all seasons currently. traction isn't a problem with them, so far. While I'm not racing anyone, I do like to take the twisties at decent speeds. I am in Philly where we get a ton of snow of late. but I have a jeep. I take the jeep if it's going to be unplowed snow.
I miss my hi-po summer tires on my previous cars for 1 thing. I think they vastly improve body roll in twisties. BETTER SHOULDER! I had michelin ps2 on my Audi and pzero nero on my volvo. am I wrong? do my dunlap AS have a ****ty shoulder or lack thereof?
but i'm done with switching rims/rubber 2x a year.
I put the rwd S RSB in my xS sedan and that helped a bit. but the understeer is horrible in this car. so the tire shoulder may help me out. since I can't get coilovers. ftl.

just a side thought: if you take the jeep out in nasty cold weather, you might also consider the Conti DW...it's a summer tire but has a 340 treadwear rating (the PS2 has a 220 and dunlop has like a 260)...and the DW is the #1 tire in its class on tirerack
cornering! thx for helping me with the proper terminology.
conti dws is what i'll focus on, thx all.
can't go with a summer tire. I sometimes take the G on long ski trip drives in the winter.

I picked up a set of Goodyear Triple Tread 225/50/18, they had a great rebate going on and I needed to get rid of those horrible stock tires. I got them 1 day before the blizzard that hit chicago. To give them a real test I went out the night the blizzard hit, Needless to say I had a blast driving around looking at everyone who was buried. I do have a XS but the handling was night and day.
Excellent Snow Traction, Great wet traction even in heavy rain. Not sure how it will handle on warmer days they wont see many of those as I have a set of 20's I will be throwing on.
They do have a slight vibration because of the tread but overall I am very impressed.
