19" Coupe wheels fit?

Will the 19" sport rims from a coupe work on a vert? I bought some coupe wheels and now if memory serves coupe wheels wont fit.

Yes spacer can work, but I would not use spacers as the Convertible is lot heavier in the rear... using spacer will help fit the wheels but now you have 2 pc wheels instead of one pc....

IMHO

I have 25mm hubcentric spacers on my rear (only) and they extend out the face of the wheel to the same vertical plane as the front wheels. Sure, they add weight but they dont weigh more than 2 lbs each.

If you take a look at the vert's unmodified stance, the rear wheels are recessed in almost 1 inch from the face of the fender even though the vert's rear is 1 inch wider than the coupe. Adding a 25mm spacer was the perfect solution to making the rear the same set back (not offset) as the front.

Here are some photos to illustrate the point...

yes, B

The weight of the convertible is more than the Coupe... that's why the offset is less than the coupe's. As I said I would not do it not because of the spacers add weight but with spacer it makes a 2 pc wheel not one pc wheel. It's just my preference not to add spacers.. that's why I got another set of convertible wheels not coupe's. One set I had powder coated the other set OEM finish.

Weight shouldn't be a factor in determining offset. There are probably other more relevent factors, such as the extra width of the back end making the tires look too "tucked in"

I dig it & appreciate your point of view - the weight is not really an issue and honestly, with the correct spacer (like the Ichiba v2) where the spacer bolts into the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer, it is not really a 2 piece set up.

I too bought a separate set of wheels & tires for powdercoating & still have my stock 19" sport rims & rubber in the basement.

Yes I understand, nothing wrong what you did but I don't like spacers, simple - I have an extra set of Original Convertible Wheels and I got another set powder coated that you have seen photo of... :>!) If any one ever wants OEM Convertible set, I may sell for reasonable good price or I'll swap when I need new tires.
Thanks... it's been wonderful weather around here for open air drives...it's just so much fun..

Hey, Which 19" sport rims are we talking about? Are they the ones pictured above or another set (OEM 19" 10 spoke rims)?

I just answered myself: The rear offset of the oem vert sports wheels is 30. It means if you put those on the coupe they will stick out 13 mm more than the original coupe wheels which have an offset of 43. So its good to put the vert wheels on a coupe but don't put coupe's wheels on the vert.
