rims discussion
^^ what rims are those because i wont get those, and i know i don't want to settle if im gonna do it im gonna do it the right way you know, which is usually the more costly way, and that's what i'm afraid of knock off website selling products that aren't reliable

Brand name, proven rims. Car was involved in a lateral impact enough to do severe damage to the vehicle. Rims were a bit scuffed up, and bent, but still holding air, allowing the car to safely get off of the freeway.
Don't skimp out on wheels, tires, or suspension. It's what your 3800lbs, $40K+ car is running on when you're going 80mph.

i know exactly and the oem rims are forged right? and i do like them? and i don't want to skimp out anywhere on my car it's my baby i love it i want only the best for her you know what i mean the best quality the best parts, and if i can spend 4 grand next year and buy forged rims and really afford it then that would be better the oem are really good as is maybe a powdercoat of black would enhance the look

Also, don't powdercoat rims. It's popular, but it does compromise the integrity of the metal due to the heat involved.
I would say for race you need as lighter setup as possible, going from 18 inch to 19 for example will add at least 5 pounds of weight extra per rim + additional weight for bigger tire size.
I am upgrading my stock 18 to 19 OZ's soon and that fact doesn't make me very happy since more weight - > more gas as well.
well i know that about the weight issue, however, if i was gonna race i would have a lot more money and be able to afford a lot more for parts, wheels and fi new block all that, but i'm not a racer not yet at least.....
