She has 08 TL Type S. Bottom line if patched correctly there shouldn't be any problems.

Good point I'll bet my life on "Shouldn't." Just playing devils advocate... btw, I think the guys at BP said the same thing...

well, not so much luck so far.

I went to a very reputable tire place in the area and they told me it needs replaced. I went to a much less reputable place and they said the same.

I sent an email out to my salesman asking if he can do something for me since the car is brand new. EH

Might be smarter to show up in person or at least call and then head to the nearest place with one in stock and get'er done if not.

I priced $239 online for rear R050A Bridgestones... can't remember what the stock tire was exactly. There's probably a $20 shipping on that. Expensive damn tire.. paid less for 285/35/20 Toyo Proxies T1Rs...

At least on the bright side you'll still have even tire wear all around.

In case you don't know you may have road hazard protection for your tires depending on whether you purchased an extended warranty (and the type). I hope that helps.

You're lucky. I'm glad to hear you didn't have to replace the tire.

I'm going away for the next 3 days so I'm parking the car in my parents garage. Hopefully it doesn't go flat. I'll be so happy I don't have to replace a tire that has 400 miles on it

Patch/plug combo best way to go if it can be fixed.

tire isnt leaking at all... is there anything I should do with the hole thats in the tire from the screw? put something in it to fill in the gap or just leave it since its not punctured?

Just take it in and see if it can be patched. if it can't, it can't.. nothing you can do about it...

There's two things you don't take chances with on your car man, tires and brakes...

now that i've read page 2... that's quite a screw, that didn't cause a leak? pretty impressive i guess. Just let it sit for a couple days and see what happens.

with the hard wall tires, you are not allowed to drive on them for any distance, u'll just shred the tires.

go back to the dealership and see if you can get that tire warranty now... lol

fyi contrary to a previous post road hazard doesn't include tire repair. on the a la carte tire protection replaces/repairs your tires.
